YCC Wales support the #MedSafetyWeek campaign

#MedSafetyWeek is a social media campaign that takes place annually in November and aims to encourage the reporting of suspected side effects.

Each year there is a different theme and this year’s campaign focused on who can report. Patients, doctors, nurses, pharmacists and members of the public all have a key role to play in the cycle of medicines safety.

To support the campaign, promotional resources were provided in English and Welsh for use at in-person events and to share on social media, including three new animated videos.

Events were organised across Wales by our YCC Champions to promote the Yellow Card Scheme and other safety initiatives in their Health Boards. The events were well received by healthcare professionals and members of the public alike, with our Champions going above and beyond to create eye-catching and engaging stands and to provide clear and up-to-date information regarding the Yellow Card scheme.
