Freedom of information

The Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA) came into force on 1 January 2005. It reflects a national policy shift in public administration: from a culture of confidentiality to one of openness and accountability.

The FOIA legislation entitles you, the public, the general right of access to information that is held by any public authority such as the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group (AWMSG), subject to certain limited exemptions. To view the Act, please go to Freedom of Information Act 2000.
