NPIS Cardiff at the Science in Health Live Event

During March, Bethan Hughes and Eleri Thomas represented the NPIS at the Science in Health Live event at the University Hospital of Wales. As the UK’s largest science outreach event for A‑level students, it offers young people insight into the science behind medicine and the wide range of careers in healthcare and biomedical sciences.

There was significant interest in the work of the NPIS, and students were invited to take part in a survey exploring teenagers’ exposure to overdose and poisoning-related content on social media.

The day was an excellent opportunity to engage with enthusiastic students, raise awareness of the NPIS, and help inspire the next generation of scientists and healthcare professionals.
