AWTTC presents work at the HTAi 2026 Annual Meeting, Istanbul

19 June 2026

Staff from the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) attended and presented their work at this years Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) Annual Meeting.

Taking place June 6–10 in Istanbul, Türkiye, this year’s meeting focused on HTA as a system shaper - highlighting how evidence-informed decision-making can support more responsive, equitable, and sustainable healthcare.

Dr Stephanie Francis, VPAG Programme Manager, presented a poster to an international audience of HTA specialists, showcasing work from Wales on a global stage.

The poster reported on a national tool for monitoring availability of recommended medicines in Wales. The Formulary Status Report identified that 87% of recommended medicines were made available in Wales within 60 days of appraisal approval and can help quantify the impact of national implementation issues on the time to medicines availability.

The full poster can be read here.
