The Welsh Analytical Prescribing Support Unit (WAPSU), the analytical unit of AWTTC, has developed a dashboard to report on progress in reducing the carbon footprint of inhalers used within primary care in Wales. This is to support the achievement of the NHS Wales Decarbonisation Strategic Delivery Plan target of increasing the use of low global warming potential inhalers to 80% of the total inhalers issued by 2025.
This dashboard can be viewed as part of the Server for Prescribing Information Reporting and Analysis (SPIRA).
Monthly reports, entitled 'Measuring the carbon footprint of inhaler use within primary care in Wales' are also generated. These reports are intended as a brief summary overview of some of the key metrics provided within the SPIRA dashboard. These monthly reports can be accessed below:
