Best Practice Day - 9 July 2026

We are pleased to announce that the Best Practice Day for 2026 will be held in Cardiff on Thursday 9 July. We hope this will be an inspiring event centred around the theme of Medicines Optimisation for a Sustainable Future.

What’s in store for you?

You’ll have the chance to hear from subject matter experts, the opportunity to learn from colleagues in other health boards and plenty of time for networking and catching up with colleagues from across Wales. Whether you’re looking to broaden your knowledge or connect with like-minded peers, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

Registration

If you’d like to secure your spot early, please complete the Registration Form to guarantee yourself a place.

This invitation is open to all healthcare professionals and NHS colleagues interested in medicines sustainability, so please feel free to share this announcement with your teams and networks.

We look forward to welcoming you to an engaging and inspiring day.

Poster competition

We’re delighted to announce the return of our poster competition, following the fantastic response to last year’s inaugural event. Get ready to showcase your work with two categories to choose from:

  • Medicines optimisation for a sustainable future
Have you been involved in research, undertaken an audit or QI project, or explored an innovative idea or service related to medicines optimisation and sustainability? If so, this category is for you.
  • An adverse drug reaction (ADR) that was significant and or changed practice
Can you demonstrate how an adverse drug reaction has changed your practice or led to wider learning? If so, enter this category.

Share your work by submitting an abstract and a poster. We will print the posters on your behalf, and these will be available for delegates to view and talk to you about at the event. The winner of each category will be announced on the day, and you will be able to take your poster home with you, should you wish.
