On 12 February, Natalie Price and Sandra Puthean from NPIS Cardiff took part in Grangetown Careers and Role Models Week, delivering an engaging session for Year 5 and 6 pupils. Children took part in an activity where they ranked different healthcare roles involved in a poisoning case. This sparked lively discussion and helped them understand how NPIS works closely with each of these professionals to support patient care.
NPIS Cardiff also hosted a stall, giving pupils and parents the chance to explore the role of a poisons scientist and ask questions. The event offered young people a memorable insight into scientific careers while giving the NPIS team a rewarding opportunity to connect with the community.
