AWTTC presents work at HTAi annual meeting in Seville

Colleagues from the All Wales Therapeutics and Toxicology Centre (AWTTC) attended and presented their work at this year’s Health Technology Assessment International (HTAi) Annual Meeting.

The Annual Meeting supports the mission of HTAi to promote the development, understanding and use of health technology assessment (HTA) around the world, as a means of fostering innovation and effective use of resources in health care.

Over 900 HTA professionals from over 60 countries attended this year’s meeting for two days of workshops and three days of presentations. It was a great opportunity to hear about the latest developments, share experiences and to make connections with others working in the field of HTA. AWTTC presented three posters:

• NHS Wales – First UK nation to approve use of dostarlimab for treatment of rectal cancer
• Off-label rituximab as a first-line immunosuppressant treatment for generalised myasthenia gravis in Wales
• Modification of the All Wales Medicines Strategy Group appraisal process provides faster access to children’s medicines in Wales
